IO initiative, a subsidiary of IO foundation have been a part of the journey from the tail end was able to raise funds to cover the Hospital and Mortuary fees so that the burden would be lifted from their shoulders and they, the family, could focus on what mattered most, honoring the memory of their beloved son and putting him to rest.
No parent should ever have to bury a child, but unfortunately these things happen. Losing a child is not easy and not being able to lay a body to rest is even harder. Although this is a very sad and difficult end to this situation, IO Initiative was able to support the family and take the weight off the family’s shoulders allowing them to grieve, say goodbye and bury their beloved child with dignity and love.
We hope the family finds solace and beacons of light as they navigate through this trying time.
Due to the age and sensitivity of this case we are opting out of sharing pictures to grant the family respect and privacy.

Together, we provided vital medical assistance to 20 patients afflicted with cataracts. The collaborative outreach campaign commenced with meticulous planning and coordination between the organizations. Beyond the restoration of vision, the outreach program emphasized holistic care and support for the beneficiaries. Psychological counselling, post-operative care, and educational sessions on eye health and hygiene were integral components of the initiative.

The impact of the collaborative outreach extended far beyond the immediate beneficiaries. By raising awareness about the importance of eye care and gender equality. Moreover, the partnership forged between the organizations sets a precedent for future collaborations aimed at addressing pressing healthcare challenges.
